Welcome

We offer weekly classes and regular retreats in Mindfulness, Yoga & Music that are engaging, creative and life changing.

Classes combine mindfulness research and brain science with classical Hatha Yoga, Meditation, Music and Relaxation.  We know that these mindfulness practices are an effective antidote for the very real problems of stress, anxiety, sleep, chronic illness and nonstop ‘busyness’ that seem to be part of our lives now. 

Learning how to slow down, relax and press the 'pause' button for a while, helps us come back to balance, re-assess our priorities and connect with ourselves in a more positive and meaningful way.  After all, as Thich That Hanh says so beautifully:

"The miracle is not to walk on water,

When you join a class you become part of the Mountain Mindfulness community. Regular participation creates lasting, positive change. Mindfulness

Mindfulness Based Stillness Meditation (MBSM), as practiced and taught at the Gawler Cancer Foundation, is about understanding the nature of the mind and learning techniques to manage it. As we develop our ability to pay attention, drawing the mind back from the past and the future, we find a deep natural peace here in the present moment.

Yoga

Yoga provides a pathway that leads from the body, through the breath gently to the mind, culminating in an experience of inner harmony and peace. Postures (asana) ) keep the body strong and flexible, while learning to breath properly (pranayama) is essential for optimum health, and helps to focus and calm the mind.

Music

Coming together to sing, chant and play music is common to every culture, and an important part of our human expression.  Singing creates good vibrations within, and connection and community amongst the group. It’s uplifting and everyone can do it! This repertoire of wisdom songs from around the world will open your heart.
