Life can feel complex and challenging at times. Learning to become more mindful brings us into the present moment and is a wonderful antidote for our tendency to 'catastrophize' future events. It helps us to be able to see things clearly, simply as they are.
If you are in 'survival mode' - juggling work, study, family and a never ending ‘to do’ list - you are not alone. We offer Yoga and Meditation programs to support your individual journey to more calm and joy in your life.

In depth Yoga Retreat
Day Retreat - Surya Namaskara
Sunday 15 August
Place of Many Stars, Murdunna, Tas
Surya Namaskara (Salute to the Sun) is a much loved 12-posture flowing sequence in Satyananda Yoga (and many other schools of yoga) but did you know there is much more we can learn about the practice of Sun Salutations beyond the physical postures and the benefits they bring?
On this day retreat as well as working through the Surya Namaskara sequence, we delve into the more subtle realms of breathing ratios, chakra awareness & mantra. These are also integral parts of the Sun Salutations.
Find out why Surya Namaskara is such a comprehensive practice in the Satyananda system of yoga, and why it is so good for you - body, mind and spirit.
Enjoy a beautiful day out in the unique setting of the Place of Many Stars.

What people say
"I've just completed my second Mindfulness course with Melissa and I would highly recommend her courses. I've found that through Mindfulness practice my anxiety levels have vastly improved; I am less self critical and now more able to re-appraise stressful situations and re-assess my responses. It has truly been a very, very positive experience."
