Sing for the Forests

An intimate afternoon of kirtan dedicated to the forests of Tasmania, particularly Takayna. 

Kirtan is the music of yoga. It is a style of call and response singing that leads to an opening of the heart. The ancient mantras draw you out of your head and into the heart of silence. We'll dedicate these positive vibrations to the forests of Tasmania. We'll raise our own energy so we can support and continue the ongoing efforts required to protect our precious natural environment. Sacred music for sacred forests.

Music by Sangita, Julie  & friends. There will be an update from a representative of the Foundation and a delicious afternoon tea of chai and bliss balls to finish.

This is a fundraising event for the Bob Brown Foundation to support the ongoing battle to protect ancient rainforest and threatened wildlife. Information about the work of the foundation will be available.
