Dear All,


I am writing to you on this, the coldest day of September I think. The rain is falling, the mercury is plummeting and snow is forecast down to 100m. It must be Spring in Tasmania! I love to hear the sound of the rain on the roof, and I'm so grateful that I can be cosy in my little house with the heater warming my toes.


In Mindfulness classes this term we have been reflecting on how to develop a mind that ‘clings to nothing’. A mind that remains ‘detached’ - balanced - regardless of the circumstance; whether things are on the ‘up’ or on the way ‘down’. A mind that is as vast as the clear blue sky. A mind that is limitless and pure. It is a challenging concept. But if we can develop flexibility in our thinking, and become more familiar with this spacious and silent presence within us, then we can embrace more fully all that life throws at us. And there is nothing better than a Tasmanian Spring to give us something to work with.

Mountain Yoga

Yoga & Song Saturday 30 October

We have to wait until the end of the month for Yoga & Song this time. Oh how the weekends get filled up. Please mark it in your diary and join us. My dream is to have a whole choir singing these songs. It's such an uplifting and joyous experience to sing together. No experience needed.
