About the Event
Going on a retreat is a traditional way to experience an extended period of practice and silence. Leave behind the distractions of everyday life, disconnect from your electronic devices and discover a deeper connection with yourself.
The focus for this retreat is on prana (life force) and healing. When we start to pay attention to where we direct or leak our prana we can begin to re-set priorities. One definition of health is having enough energy and vitalitiy to live our lives fully in the way we would like. This is a great chance for personal reflection. Learn yoga poses that will enhance and conserve your vital energy. Experience the deep relaxation of Prana Nidra (a variation of yoga nidra in which prana is activated in the body.)
The afternoon meditation will explore the five sub branches of prana and their role in the body, using one of the universal archetypes for healing - light.
Enjoy a gentle Yoga class, walking meditation and the deep relaxation of Yoga Nidra. Open your heart as we chant and sing to end the day. Simple vegetarian lunch, morning and afternoon tea provided.

Yoga mat; notebook and pen; suitable clothes for outside and sun hat.
