About the Event
Going on a retreat is a traditional way to experience an extended period of practice and silence. Leave behind the distractions of everyday life, disconnect from your electronic devices and discover a deeper connection with yourself.
For this retreat we focus on the wisdom of paying attention to our emotions, letting go the stories which reinforce excessive thinking, and instead connect with the feeling in our bodies. Becoming more mindful of our emotions we not only cultivate emotional intelligence, but have an opportunity to heal old wounds and in so doing heal ourselves.
The afternoon meditation will explore the central Buddhist practice of Loving Kindness.
Enjoy a gentle Yoga class, walking meditation and the deep relaxation of Yoga Nidra. Open your heart as we chant and sing to end the day. Simple vegetarian lunch, morning and afternoon tea provided.

12.00 pm Yoga Nidra
12.30 pm Lunch
1.30 pm Walking Meditation
2.00 pm Afternoon activity
3.00 pm Meditation
3.30 pm Cup of tea and farewell
What to bring:
Yoga mat; notebook and pen; suitable clothes for outside and sun hat.
